		<description>There's lots of simple cheap and harmless chemicals, such as sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) and washing soda which have rather gone out of fashion but which are really excellent cleaners. Even salt can be used for cleaning!
 

That's a good tip to use aluminium foil to save work cleaning the oven. Even better, use recycled aluminium foil as it's an energy-intensive product to make.

Old newspapers make the best window cleaners - just add a dash of vinegar to a bucket of clean water.
