Google Unveils Its Mobile Phone

The prototype of Google’s much awaited smart phone has finally been unveiled at the ongoing Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. The unbranded phone developed by ARM, a British chip maker and that will use Google’s Android platform is slated to rival Apple’s iPhone. Android is a mobile phone operating system developed by Google and is backed by 30 mobile phone operators, handset makers, handset makers and component manufactures.


The prototype has Google as its web browser home page, GMAIL as its email gateway and Google Maps for navigation. Its is slated to be in the market by end of this year. According to market estimate, mobile advertising market could be worth $11 billion by 2011.
